Belly Tickle Road

One of my favorite paintings!

I remember my grandfather driving down our country roads in Stoughton, with my brother and I perched in the back seat.  The country roads consisted of many up and down hills, as we drove passed the  cornfields, heading into the nearby town. As Grandpa drove, his speed became faster and faster with every hill he came upon. We were literally airborn! As he neared the final hill, my brother and I were no longer in our seats, but on the back floor instead. Laughing and holding onto our bellies for dear life, we screamed out "more! more! I painted this piece as an homage to my grandfather and this wonder carnival ride.
